Bio Compression Standard 8 Chamber Arm with Shoulder Garment is made of high quality 200 Denier Nylon Oxford coated with 3 mils of Polyurethane and is Latex Free. This garment is to be used with either pump SC-2008-OC

INTENDED USE – intended for the primary or adjunctive treatment of primary or secondary Lymphedema. The device is also used for the treatment of chronic venous stasis ulcers and associated venous insufficiency, as well as general treatment of swelling of the extremities.   This product can be purchased online for personal home use, we recommend that you consult with your surgeon or lymphedema therapist on the correct use of this product for your particular condition.

The garment is intended for home or hospital use.

What Does it Do?

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Pneumatic compression is contraindicated for the patients with:

  1. Congestive heart failure
  2. Deep Vein Thrombosis
  3. Inflammatory phlebitis or episodes of pulmonary embolism
  4. Infections in the limb, including cellulitis, without appropriate antibiotic coverage
  5. Active Cancer except for palliative care
  6. Other indications as identified by the treating physician
  7. Tachycardia

PLEASE NOTE: We made measuring for your patient a little bit easier. We have coordinated our
Upper and Lower Extremity Order Form to follow the step by step instructions listed above.
 
 

Short Cuts to Measuring

  1. Measure full length of arm. (See #9)
  2. Look at arm. Measure circumference of any large area or area of concern for using the pump.
  3. On the Bio Spec Sheet, find the length closest to your patient’s measurements – remember
    that the fingertips MUST be inside the Garment. Now look at the circumferences. As long
    as your patient is smaller than the sizing we give for the Garment, the Garment will fit. Almost
    all of our patients fit into our standard arm Garments
